Judging by the range of newly installed Imprezas in the showroom, I think the Saab dealership in Oakley (4 miles north of Bedford) is about to change to a Subaru main dealer. They haven't (yet) changed the Saab sign, but there are hardly any Saabs!

Heard this rumour about 6 weeks ago - seems it's true!!

Anyone got their phone number?

Yellow pages online doesn't list any dealerships in Oakley, Beds and Vodaphone directories couldn't help either . . .

Scooby won't start and don't fancy the thought of Green Flag man hot wiring the ECU to get it going again!

Yes, they advertised last week in the local Milton Keynes paper under Subaru Dealer badging.
So I went over on Saturday to have a look, they've got a nice 97 Catalunya in (No.120) going for £17,500.

Are you on campus at Cranfield? I'm at the Innovation Centre (black 95WRX). Try to get a copy of last weeks Motoring Citizen for details of Oakley dealer, I'll have a look for the phone number tonight.

It used to be a SAAB dealership and the number in the Yellow Pages for The Oakley Garage is Sales: 01234 822717
Service/Parts: 01234 823118/822055.
Should be the same - no reason to change it I wouldn't have thought!

Annabel / Dave : Once again, thanks for the help!

Dave - I am 'imprisoned' @ Lanchester: Silver UK spec. N reg.

GreenFlag loaded the car up this morning and took us both over to Oakley. Brian Franklin told me that they only became official dealers this week (no signs up yet). The servicing equipment only arrived today and it looks like I'll be their guinea pig for both fixing the starting problem & taking care of 15k service w/geometry check.
I have a "drive assured select" level 3 warranty so it will also be interesting to see how much it really helps when you need it.

Oakley were quite friendly and gave me a R reg 1.4 16v Corsa courtesy car until Friday, when hopefully the girl should be up and sprinting again. http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

Will let you know how I get on - initial impressions are good.

Suresh
