You should be ok, but thats no guarantee.
Arch liners tend to protect the tyres if it does rub.
My 96STi with 215 40s on OZ Prodrive 18s rubs a bit when i have people in the back, pr if i'm really trying hard, and thats running fairly (but sensibly) low on coilovers.

hope this helps,
simon;)

edited (as i didn't read the post properly) if it rubs now it ain't going to get any better if you lower it:(

I have a MY00 Turbo with 18" Team Dynamics Diablos. I have always intended to have some Eibachs fitted but after having 3 people in the car and noticing the rear arch rubbing recently I am no longer sure.

The wheels are as supplied by TSL with 215 35 18 tyres.
The suspension is standard apart from solid drop links.

What are peoples thoughts or experiences.

Have read about removing the plastic lining(?) of the arch!?!

I have an MY00 with 215/35/18's and Eibachs and it does not rub at all.

I have 225/40/18s on mine with P1 suspension. We have had a set of alloys in the back, and 3 people in the car and no rubbing!!!!

Oh joy. Now I think something is wrong.

Money - where did you get the P1 suspension from?

M0NEY 03 April 2003 12:38 PM

That would be telling :D

Basically when a company snapped some up, i grabbed them. They are quite expensive and as far as i know, you need a p1 chassis number to order the suspension from a dealer

I was running OZ 18" 225/35/18 on my STI-V with Leda Coilovers, even 4 up in the car would never rub on the back....
