on MY95 cars the indicators are on the righthand side. Can I switch them round to the lefthand side? Which model year did they change over to left-sided and can I retro fit to MY95?

Cheers,

Andy

Fed up of wiping my windows when I want to indicate and flashing people when I want to wash the windscreen!

I found this when i 1st drove my scooby (UK MY97) as it was a bit strange & i recall driving a fellos scoob at a meet which was a UK MY98 which then had on left side which was again strange to get used to. Tested a import type R STi jobbie MY99 the other day & that was on the right thou  lol.
So dunno exactly which models have which side but to be honest i wood just give it time to get used to, presuming yer new to it ;), & save what inevitably woodnt b cheap 4 the list of other mods :D

You get used to it. I drive a landrover during the week with the indicators on the left, and a 93 wrx with them on the right. Took me a few weeks to stop flashing people while trying to put the wipers on :D Now it's second nature

Is your flashing set up different as well then as surely to flash u r pulling stalk towards u but wipers/signals (depending which side yer using rightly or wrongly) r an up down flick??? :D

Si,

not new to it, just started alternating between Lotus Elise when it's sunny. Got used to the Elise last couple of weeks and now back in the Scoob.

I wonder if a UK 98 control stalks can be fitted to a UK 95?

Scooby_Si - I meant in the landy. If I pull the left stalk once towards me then I flash people, when I meant to put the wipers on once :) Seriously though, surely it's a lot of hassle to swap them over when most people get used to it anyway. I've not used the controls incorrectly in either vehicle for over a year now  Maybe I'm just a lazy bugger :D
