Thanks to PCB for the hosting http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif , as for my website, it will be moving off Angelfire ASAP cos they're ........!!

But, more pics

DrEvil 18 July 2001 10:33 PM

PS. scanwise is playing up, hence the weird yellowy tinge to the pics.. help needed!

PSI3 18 July 2001 10:42 PM

Alex,
That looks very familiar (except for morettes
- still undecided)
are wheels gold or silver? can't tell with the lovely yellow tinge http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

simon.

Scrappy2 19 July 2001 12:08 AM

Can't help with scanwise I'm afraid - Mac's only 4 me - I just altered the colour values in Photoshop... Maybe the bulbs going in your scanner? Just a thought...

DrEvil 19 July 2001 12:11 AM

Markus - cheers mate.. you know it makes sense to get one now http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

Scrappy2 - Cheers anyhow and thanx for the revised images http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif .. I know it isn't the scanner, cos the image is final until the preview scan completes, then scanwise works its magic and turns the image yellowy http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/frown.gif

Scrappy2 19 July 2001 12:14 AM

Must be some setting in the scan software to auto-adjust image levels which probably needs turning off. Whenever I scan anything I turn all the auto help thingys off and then adjust the image if it needs it in Photoshop...

BugEyed 19 July 2001 05:36 AM

Alex

Looks excellent - you must be well pleased. http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

The wheels and skirts look excellent, but like Simon I'm undecided on the Morettes.

What's next? A PPP, or are you going an alternative route?

Duncan

Mr Impreza 19 July 2001 09:11 AM

Looks nice!

Andy Tang 19 July 2001 09:23 AM

Alex,

It looks top notch, I think the big silver wheels really sets it off!!! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

Now young man, we need to talk about suspension kits and ride height!!! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/tongue.gif

See you soon
Andy

DrEvil 19 July 2001 09:58 AM

THEY ARE SILVER! PROMISE http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

I've had no joy with this bloody scanner s/w, its not the scanner cos the image looks fine until Scanwise 'fixes' it http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/rolleyes.gif

Morettes wise, people tend to let you go past more with the morettes fitted, apparently it looks scarey approaching from the rear! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

Alex

DrEvil 19 July 2001 10:00 AM

PS. I'm still umming and ah'ing about the PPP or the link route.

PPS. Mr Tang, hmm, yes, but I think I'll wait for the prodrive solution.

See some of you soon and others sooner http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

Modrapheniac 19 July 2001 10:31 AM

That car looks bloody luverley m8 ! I am now seriously considering a new shape Scoob. The morettes set off the front much better than standard and the wheels look superb.

With regard to scanwise ......... dump it ! and grab a copy of PaintShop Pro, nice and cheap and VERY easy to use. I've been using it for years and always obtain top results.

Good luck.

DrEvil 19 July 2001 10:46 AM

Modrapheniac,

Cheers matey, you'll be amazed how these cars handle with 225/40R18 on 'em.. reminds me of my P1 http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

I thoroughly recommend upgrading to the new Impreza!

Alex

Jza 19 July 2001 10:51 AM

Alex

Markus 19 July 2001 11:58 AM

Alex,
I thought the car looked really great when I saw and sat (thanks for that!) in it at Bentley.

now it looks even better. Nice one

I'm now totally in love with the bug eyed one, but I have to say that very quielty in case the blackbeast hears me, as it's sitting outside my window and it might get jealous! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

JackClark 19 July 2001 12:47 PM

Very nice. What's the sticker? And, tell me the wheels are Silver??

Use the Help menu and look for recalibrate or calibrate or however you spell it, might help.

Jack

Col Stone 19 July 2001 08:19 PM

Alex,
The scoob looks great! Next meeting i'm at I'll have to get in front of you to do the 'mean test' in my mirror! I'm sure it is.
Cheers Col

DrEvil 20 July 2001 11:08 AM

Cheers all, I am well chuffed..

Apparently it passes the 'mean-lookin' test, ask Nito or Mo http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif Last night we had a little meet, wasnt planned just happened http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

I can't recommend the 18" wheels enuff, they make such a difference to the car's handling, and of course the morettes for looks http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

Alex

NITO 20 July 2001 10:02 PM

Yup,

can confirm the mean look... http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif don't call him Dr Elvil for nothing http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

The car looks truly awesome in the flesh and the morettes look fantastic in the rearview mirror which is just as well as it spends most of it's time there http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/tongue.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif although with the wicked rally style 18's the balance may be tipped!! Exhaust sounds awesome too...

top car! Top meet and people too

Nito

Dave T-S 20 July 2001 10:13 PM

Alex

It's looking good mate - your wallet will never look back LOL http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

keo 20 July 2001 11:23 PM

Great looking car, particularly like the new wheels. Regarding the exhaust I am thinking of getting the SS exhaust system, how intrusive do you find it on the motorway, quieter/louder compared to your previous imprezas. Did you notice any difference to performance after fitment and finally do you know what the difference is between the 1 & 2 centre piece option.

cheers

Shaggy555 21 July 2001 12:47 AM

Alex,

Your car is looking great.

Just wondered about your wheels as you said they are OZ super T's but, they look more like P1 Super Novas. I thought super T's had more spokes?

Chris

DrEvil 21 July 2001 06:59 PM

Cheers all,

The exhaust isn't too bad due to the extra sound proofing in the MY'01...

As for the OZ wheels, they are based on the Super Ts and I think were referred to as them in some docs i saw.. But I think the current name is just Prodrive OZ alloys!

http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

Alex

V5-APS 21 July 2001 07:17 PM

Hi there Doc,
Where did you get the silver Oz Prodrive wheels from ??

Cheers

DrEvil 21 July 2001 11:23 PM

I got the wheels from my local Subaru dealer, they got them within 5 days of ordering.. Bell & Colvill for the record.

RRP approx £1950 including PZero Rosso (225/40 R18).. make a huge difference!

Dyney 21 July 2001 11:31 PM

Alex, I Prefer the old wheels.LOL http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

Are the MY01's designed to be slower? http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

Iain.
PS. NICE http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/eek.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif
