I'm due to pop up the M6 next week and the length of the trip is such it will take at least three refuelling stops to get there and back. Anybody know if the service stations on the M6 stock super unleaded?

How far up the M6 are you going? I'm pretty sure Forton, Burton (north only) and Tebay stocks Super Unleaded. Killington (south only) definetly has it as I got a tankful there yesterday. http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

Hope this helps.

Thats daaarn saarth, compared to where I was thinking.I would have thought most motorway services would stock Super Unleaded,or does this alter in different areas?

AFAIK All Motorway service stations sell SUL.

Although SUL is now 97RON, service stations have a special dispensation to not bother to change their stickers for a few months.

The BP Service station on the A556 between the M6 J19 and M56 stocks SUL.
BTW the BP station in Romiley, Stockport still stocks 98! - I had a chat with the station manager, I said that I thought that all SUL was 97 now, his reply was no, the pumps are still badged as Superplus unleaded 98 RON, it would be illegal to sell 97 Ron SUL as 98 RON - does that make sense - Iam knackered and off to the land of nod!
