Can it be done ?
I train delegates in the noble art of MS Office , version 97,2000, and XP depending upon their persuasion. I have XP installed but for reasons of greatness i need the other wo flavours installed. Short of telling my delegates to bugger off and get Office XP , and come back when they have , can i install 3 versions of office on the one machine ? Your help is appreciated. |
I had Office 2000 and XP installed on the same machine, so assume the answer is yes.
They would all need to be full versions (not upgrades) and installed into different directories. You may also find that each time you switch between them they may run the final part of the install routine, as I believe they use the same registry keys. |
Hiya Andy!
Have a look at this MS Knowledge Base article - covers running multiple versions of Office from 4.3 to XP at once. http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;290576 I run Access 97 + Office 2000 on my PC at work with any major problems. Chris. |
I ran office 97 and 2000 together without a major problem. Biggest annoyance was double clicking on stuff and it opening in the wrong version.
Install the earliest version first though, access in particular complains if you do it the other way around |
