Can anyone help me with the following ... I want to design a simple form in HTML, that accepts text values in 4 or 5 boxes, up to 255 characters, then when you press submit, will print the content of the boxes on a page, with a little formatting, and also present the option to copy to clipboard.

I want this to work on a standalone page, i.e. no cgi/php/asp etc.

Any one got any ideas ?

Cheers,

Jon

I'm not sure this is any more helpful, but no, it ain't gonna happen, basically something *server* side has to read the input, process it and produce output and without CGI or some server side language you can't do it. You could try some JavaScript that made the form vanish and output appear all on one page, but obviously it would only be there for that client at that time...

it only needs to be standalone, and present for one person at any one time, as a means of entering a set of information, clicking a button that will then print the contents of the boxes onto a fresh pge, with extra formatting.

I'm still digging around, but I think it's possible with Javascript, and possibly some dhtml

Cheers
