Hi,

The rental on my MY01 scooby is up in a couple of months so I need to start planning for the removal of my Scoobysport uppipe, downpipe and CEL fix before it goes back.

Can anyone tell me if reinstating the original bits is a difficult job - i.e. best done by Scoobysport themselves - or could I rely on someone more local?

I've got the old uppipe and downpipe but I noticed that they cut bits off at least one heatshield so I guess I'll need a new one of those, plus some new gaskets... any other costs I've not spotted?

Pete - feel free to comment! I'd be happy getting you guys to do the work but it's a three-hour drive each way and I'm obviously not as motivated as when the bits were being put on the car... any PX value on the parts?

Thanks,
Gareth

I'll tell you tomorrow as my bits are going on!

The CEL fix I've done already.

Remove the passenger carpet
Remove Footplate
Pull the plugs from the ECU
Probably strip the insulation tape away from the CEL fix box wires to the ECU wires
With a soldering iron, remove the CEL fix and reconnect the broken wires
Re-insulate
Job done

It's only 200 miles mate, legal motorway speed all the way... ;)

Right.

Up-pipe a bugger. Either leave it or get a pro to remove it.

Downpipe. Fairly involved. Requires the intercooler and heat shield off.

Centre sections and back box. Easy, as long as you have axle stands to safely get under the car.

Hope this helps.

Steve
