Popped into Bell and Colvill last night on my way home to have a quick look round (two 340's in the showroom - look fantastic. Can't wait to see one on the road)

Anyway, also in the showroom there was a 5 door Turbo in a light blue metallic (similar to the Terzo). I had been told that this colour is not available in the UK, only from Europe, it's not shown on the web-site or in the brochure.

Can anyone shed any light on this...??

It maybe that its come in from Northern Ireland as B&C seem to do a fair number of parallel imports i believe and so may have a different selection of colours...

Just a thought !

That had occured to me but I didn't want to suggest that straight off!!

If they do I wonder what warranty they offer on these cars..??

Ok 2 points here.....

1) Say B&C has imported a car from Northern Ireland and sell it as a "genuine Uk spec car" is there any way to tell that it's come from Northern Ireland?

2)What do Subaru Uk have to say about this "back door" importing, or are Northern Ireland under the Subaru Uk wing so all this is not relevant?

Answer quickly, panicking Bell & Covill
Purchased UK spec car owner!!!

I beleive that you are referring to "555" blue avaiable in the Netherlands etc - it does look very smart......

I am pretty sure SUK are the Importers for NI as well, so I dont think ? there are any problems, the cars will all be UK cars as NI is part of the UK.

So why do they (B&C) do parallel imports from NI as presumably the prices, taxes etc are the same as covered by UK..??

Also the colours available should be the same?

I suspect the NI import thing may be something to do with quotas.. just a hunch... but they are all UK spec cars and are covered by the normal warranty so no worries there.... if your lucky you can pick up a colour you may not be able to get in the UK....
