I'm going to fit some whiteline Rear drop links to get rid of the anoying clunk.

Are these easy to fit? And do I need to get a 4 wheel alignment done afterwards?

Also is it worth fitting an anti lift kit to the front? Will this improve the handling much and again will I need an alignment done?

Nezz10 24 March 2003 01:13 PM

Well easy to fit, you shouldn't need the alignment for the droplinks but you will if you get the anitlift kit.

Thanks Nezz.

Any idea how much for a full geometry check?
Anybody know where to go in the Melksham\Chippenham wiltshire area.

I've taken the scoob to DH Cars for servicing, anyone know if they can do the geometry check?

I take it this is not a big enough mod to need mentioning to the insurance company?

Full goemetry should be around £50/60. Dunno your area at all so cannot suggest anyone.

Insurance - up to you really, not a performance increase so.....

SeepyScoob, Are you from Melksham/Chippenham?. The best place local is Powerstation based in Cheltenham, that's were I had mine fitted. If you wish to have a go yourself and wish to see the fitted aritical I'm based in Melksham. :)

Based in Melksham M8. What Scoob is yours then?
Driving a 99 dark blue wagon me, the only other scoobs I see regularly are a Silver wagon with 17 (18?) inch rims, no roof bars and the plate tatooed on the bonnet. Look svery nice.
Another Dark blue wagon on a private plate, judging by the wheels it's a 00.
Also seen a P1 around although not for a while

Cheers Silversmith,

I reckon I'll stick with just the droplinks for now. Haven't got spare bucks for the ALK+Wheel alignment, something for the future.

Best place to buy? Demon Tweaks I suppose?

nigel s 25 March 2003 01:42 PM

SeepyScoob, I have seen a couple of DBM wagons around town. As you say one on private plate the other was by the hospital roundabout, could this be you?. There is also a chap who drives a silver sti 4 who normally waves. How long have you had the scoob. I live in Melksham WR Blue UK300.
Nigel.

Nigel

Yep probably me by the roundabout **** LAC.

Have seen a UK300 twice maybe, in the town centre?? U?

Haven't seen it for a while though.

Have had the Scoob 6 months now and I'm just beginning to get the fever. The one that makes you start changing things...
