Hi,

15 months ago I purchased 4 Radius R3 wheels from a very well known wheel company for the grand sum of £1000. At the time I purchased the wheels firstly because I liked them and secondly because I thought they would be a good quality wheel.

When washing the car this morning I noticed that the alloy coating on one of the wheels was flaking off. When I looked in more detail I could see that the wheel in question was "bubbling up" in varies places as well. I then looked at the other 3 wheels, these are all fine.

Not one of my wells has any other mark on it so they have clearly been looked after and I always use "Auto Glym" products only.

Today I rang the company in question who have told me that is basically bad luck as the wheels are no longer under warranty and there is nothing that they can do.

Some how I feel "robbed". Should I take this further or stop moaning and buy a new one?????

This is bugging me please help!!!

Cheers

They may be out of warranty but IMHO they should offer to have a look at the wheel in comparison to the other 3 and based on that I would hope a good will offer could be made if they feel the wheel in question is below the usual quality you could expect.

You could try contacting your local Citizen’s Advise Bureau http://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/

The goods are clearly not of merchantable quality.
