Here's my beauty that I've been driving now for 11 months / 20000 miles. I'm still in totally love with this car.

Here's just 3 photos of the 70 that were taken, all at 3000x2000 PhotoCD Pro resolution - make nice desktop backgrounds http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/cool.gif ...

Any comments are welcome http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

Nice car http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif I wouldn't mind a go in the yellow truck, though http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

Hi Dick,

I have a m8 who's selling a set of those wheels and they're in gold too! With brand new Eagle F1's http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif

Thanks for interest, folks http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

Andy, no mods yet http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/frown.gif , just Air Con - which rules even in Finland. I'm still considering between the inexpensive SS Backbox / ITG Air filter combo for _sound_ and a little performance boost, and the PPP for some outrageous torque increase...

Dick, the wheels are Speedline (don't know the exact model) with P-Zeros, I ordered the car with those - and had the original wheels go with the winter/spike tyres. I'll post an extreme close-up shot of the wheel later on today for you.

Ski, the car really gets totally different looks when clean and in strong sunlight - the blue color really starts to shine... About speeding laws: Depending on the situation, if you speed less than 20km/h (12.5mph) over the limit, you pay from FIM 500...900 (£50-90). If you speed 21km/h or more over the limit, the ticket depends on your yearly income. Just recently, an IT-millionaire here drove some 20mph too fast with his Lamborghini Diablo, and got a ticket something like £20,000+. This ended up on the FRONT PAGE of the Financial Times! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

Scotty, I hope you weren't dreaming of trying that truck some kind of circus act in your mind, involving my Scooby... http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/eek.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif

Here are then two more pics - one for Dick, who was interested in the wheels - and one more just as a bonus, because it has the nicest color slides on the sides.

The wheel piccie is not actually a close-up shot, but instead cropped from the original that shows the whole car. Enough resolution? http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif Enjoy.

Hi Chris! While I might have a perfect taste for cars http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif, I'm not such a photographer myself - I have to thank my friend who shares the same initials "AF".

Here's info about what we used:

film: Fuji Sensia 100 II
camera: Canon EOS 500n
lens: 24-85 f/3.5-4.5 USM
scanner: Kodak PhotoCD professional equipment

ckc 07 February 2001 07:42 AM

Stunning pics Fernis. What film did you shoot with? Velvia?

Chris

ckc 07 February 2001 10:44 PM

Fernis,

Your friend might already know this, but tell AF to use Fuji Velvia next time, Velvia's colour saturation is unbeatable http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif. Anyways great car and great pics, keep 'em coming!

Topdog, the rims are 17" - not sure about the width - with 205's the edges have been scratched badly after taking the photos http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/frown.gif. A set of 225's could've protected them better. I'm thinking of doing something to make them look better... any grinding/smoothing advices/suggestions?

Ckc, thanks, I'll mention about Velvia to my friend. We're trying to take some winter action shots if we find a weekend with a nice weather.

Hi Ari, what size rims have you got? Love the colour.

D Noble 08 February 2001 09:59 PM

Ari
i presume the car is MY99/00, has it got 4 pot calipers up front, if so how did they make them fit as i was forced to sell the same style of wheel when i changed from MY96 to my current car. both my dealer and speedline said the superturismo wouldnt fit with the 4 pots!
im seriously P****d off as those wheels look superb in my opinion

Dave

andy oakes 12 February 2001 07:26 PM

hi ari, looking to buy new p zeros at week end are they as good as supposed to be?? sweet car mate!!

Ari Fernelius 14 February 2001 02:47 PM

Andy, P-Zeros are an excellent choice. On dry tarmac they're one of the stickiest tyres you can get, and they're extremely easy and safe to drive since they always warn you about what's happening.

There's a downside: they kinda suck on wet surfaces. S02PP is a better choice, I think, if you're gonna drive a lot on wet and if you're a skillful driver.

Stunning car mate. Have the same colour and wheels/tyres as yours. Bought them from Prodrive (but they stopped selling them last year - 2000). Stunning pictures!!!!
