Phill,

Have a look at this page here

I have used it on more than one occasion to reset the admin passwords on machines etc...

Had a quick look at the site and it's double dutch!!! IS there anyone that would like to summarise it for me. Do I need to make a boot disk or what ??

Confused!!

Cheers Phill

Phill,

No wonder you guys cant get anything working ;) :p

Basically you make a boot disk, which loads Linux, Follow onscreen prompts, e.g. User Account to Change Password on, New Password.

Job done!

Ian,

Steady, no need for that, doesn't our Broadband work just fine ??

Well what can I say, I played with that site, decompressed the boot disk and took a look. Thought that'll never boot, but IT DID!!! First try, I changed the system password. Second try, it worked!!! :D:D:D I can now login to windows again. All this trouble cause of a 6 year old. Fantastic tool mate ;)

Cheers Phill C

No worries Phill!

Glad it got you sorted, and incidently my broadband has been flawless apart from one hitch, but that was down to a stupid twit of an engineer

Wish I had known about this 2 months ago. We lost one of our machines as a disgruntled person had changed it, we ended up going with Winterals $600 software that does essentially the same job

That was actually how I found this tool initially must have been about 18 months ago or so now.

I was onsite at a clients and nobody knew the domain admin password, and I had not been informed of any changes too it. A bit of time surfing the web and i found this. Has come in handy on more than one occasion for me!

I keep a copy of the bootdisk, as well as all the RAID controller addons in my laptop case now.

Well building the boot disk was a little drama for a bloke that normally does windows and nothing else ;)

I uploaded the files to my PWP, so I can get them remotely ;) just in case.

Appreciate that mate......Thanks :D:D:D:D
