First person i've seen to own a new scooby. Whats it like?? Nice looking alloys. Where they from??
|
Needs lowering so there's less space in the arches.
Other than that, its nice, although I reckon a set of 18" wheels would look the biz and a new spoiler. How much bhp does the WRX kick out at the moment ? DV [This message has been edited by DazV (edited 12 January 2001).] |
The wheels are oz super t magnesium racing wheels 17" and are from the dealer.
It will be lowered when there is a kit available and a spoiler is coming from Japan next month. Bhp no idea, 218 standard, only got back box so far, centre section going on next week. No induction fitting kit available yet for hks super flow filter as they have to work around the air flow meter sensor, which is stuck on top of the original air box ( they like to make it easy don't they! ). Thanks for your replies Ady http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif |
Looking foward to seeing it with the new spoiler & lowered
Keep us posted ! Niall http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif |
Very nice car M8
I think you have a problem with your number plates ( are they the anti Gatso ones? ) http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif: or I'm very tired http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif |
Cheers guys for your replies.
Niall, Subaru sports suspension costs £600 + fitting so i am hoping there's a cheaper alternative. When there is it will be done. At least the gaps in the arches will decrease. Richard, You must be tired what more can i say! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/rolleyes.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/rolleyes.gif Ady [This message has been edited by adyhicut (edited 14 January 2001).] |

The suspension kit is a subaru accessory offered by my dealer. I don't know what it comprises of as i thought it was too expensive. It might even be offered by your dealer. So i am waiting for a suspension manufacturer to come up with a set and i'm sure it will be less than £600. I'll post it here if i here anything. Have a look at |
adyhicut - which Subaru sports suspension are you looking at? On the STi site, they only have the 4-way adjustable ones offered with no price listed. The corresponding last generation units were 29000Y + 7000Y(springs) PER CORNER. That's about $1440 or £950 total! If you can get the struts+springs for the new age Impreza for £600, that's a great price!
If you haven't figured it out, I'm in the U.S. I'm trying to do some early shopping for my March delivery! =) The pics of your car are making me VERY jealous! [This message has been edited by ruf (edited 15 January 2001).] |

CHEERS MARK |
wow!! very nice...
really like the wheels.... ! saw our new "wrx" this last week and after pokin around and sittin in and studying the specs on this car... i have to say it's a brilliant package!! how are the lights?? bright enough??? just curious as i've never seen them on... j. |
adyhicut,
Unlike most people on this board, I think the car looks brilliant, in fact I recon it is ahead of its time. Please post more pics when you have lowered it, can't wait to see a modded one. Give it a couple of months and they will start selling like hot cakes, most people are joining in with the press, just like they did with the dome. Typical UK at the moment, shame! |
Ady
Nice car - it looks GOOD in DBM! (Though not IMO in any of the lighter colours) So there I go, eating my own words - damn...... |
Thanks everyone for your comments.
When i get the suspension done i will post a piccy. It will be interesting what Morette can do for it. Subie Gal The lights are ok but better with Piaa superwhites. Thanks again Ady http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif |
I'm more interested in the old one:
Is that a Scoobysport rear wing? What's happened to the 'S U B A R U' letters on the back? |
