Just reading in my Manual about Hill Hold.
Were you don't roll back. It sounds like this is in manual cars. What's this all about? Is it likely to be in RB5s? Cheers pjhsid |
only fitted on cars with drum brakes at the rear, so no turbo model has it.

My sisters impreza sport has rear discs and this system :D:cool: works quite well but feels weird.

It is only fitted on cars with a cable operated clutch, my '96 legacy has this feature which also has rear discs.
|
My sisters car is a MY96 too so that explains it. I didn't think sports had rear discs though
|
they dont, they are drum brakes.
It works by having a line lock in the rear brake hydraulic system that is operated by the cable clutch. |
right here we go some sports do have rear discs but only the early ones, turbos do not have the hill holder and the bug eyed imprezas do have it even with a hydraulic clutch. and it does work via a line lock on the n/s/f and o/s/r wheels. only on manuals because autos have a creep facility so they dont need it.
