There are so many people that would have given everything for the chance to do what he did - Cocky B*stard. I'm pleased he failed though :D

Si (so glad i got it on tape so i can spread the word 2 all who wana c wot a plum he b :D) |
Thanks s-si, I'd heard alot about this and legged it to the telly when I saw your reminder having missed it first time round.
Whilst Phil D. seemed to be a vaguely unpleasant human being, I wonder if it is possible to turn anyone without experience into a racing driver in just a month? Some of the young drivers I know are so naturally gifted its scary but it has still taken years of nurture to extract their best and get them to the front end of the grid in some of the more competitive national formulae. Of course, Im not entirely sure of the level he was pitched in at. Were those cars old FRenault or FVJs or similar? If some of these other guys were single seat drivers that had been around for a few years, wouldnt Martin D. have recognised them? What is it about such excruciating television that makes it such essential viewing? Why so many questions? |
The kids attitude still stank though.

Look we're all just human beings so wotever u can do there is no reason y i cant do the same!!!
So all b rest assured that all of us can 1 day b plebs :D lol Si |
LOL Well, I do remember the name but for all the wrong reasons.... Matt |
argh, bugger missed it again!
anyone tape it? |
Geezer was a plum but I think the instructors wanted him to fail from the start to stop their sport looking like it was easy. In his position no doubt you would have applied yourself better but they never really hid the fact that they thaught he was a cnut which can't have been helpful when trying to learn somthing new.

Good point.

Expand a little on that comment please? Have you met him? They will remember the name Phil Dean not because they were in the presence of a future racing god (as he had intended) but because he was a presumtious, arrogant, self obsessed, unappreciative fool who wasted the chance of a lifetime with a "I know it all" attitude. It's a real shame because there are hundreds of people out there worthy of the chance to become a "proper" racing driver with extensive personal tution from some "greats", when unfortunately, the chance was given to him :( Matt :) |
yeah but he was still a t0sser! :D
|
& yes i did tape it will c if bro can work his magic & get it available 4 uzzz but no promises like..............
Si |
lol I caught the last 30 mins by pure chance. PMSL. Every time he got in the car the trainers were like t*sser, tw*t, f*ckwit. Its a pity his car misfired as we would have been able to judge his driving better. If he hadnt have been so cocky in the interview I reckon he could have made it. Lol @ the bit where he said he really liked chinwaggng with other drivers and discussing techniques. His mentors were like "wtf - who in their right mind would do that you idiot".
