Being poor I can't afford a whole nice shiny new exhaust, so was wondering what section I should get? I know most people start at the backbox and work their way towards the front, but would it be best to go for a downpipe first? Or will the rest of the standard system cause such a restriction that it's not worth it? Noise and looks are irrelevant, although I'd like some flat4 burble. Car is a Forester S-turbo. (and yes, I do know that Forester performance parts are as rare as rocking horse dung! :) )

Hi Toerag,
I have the OE mid section off my S/tb Forester doing nothing at the moment. Its not got a CAT so will help a bit with flow and noise. Also have the OE rear box but it may be the same as a UK one so not much help. Keep your eye on the For Sale 24 hrs a day. Most of my bits fitted are s/hand so they do come up now and again. Looking for £30 plus postage for the mid section. Nick 1997 Forester S/tb |
Thanks for the reply Nick, I'm in the midst of moving house at the moment and thus will have to save the pennies first(even though £30 is nothing, I have to get past the missus first!) Expect a call in a couple of months if you've not got rid of it!
PS. I don't bother keeping an eye on 'for sale' now that the search function works properly now. |
