Can anyone give me any clues as to the type of ECU fitted to my '97 jap Sti?

The case has serial: A18 000 D35 on it but the board has A19 000 DC1:

The backgound on this is that it used to run 1.3 bar but has now reverted to 1.1 - http://www.scoobynet.co.uk/bbs/threa...hreadID=181170 - if you wanna read the whole story and I'm still trying to figure why.

Is the board fitted to my car mappable in any way? Could it maybe have lost it's map and reverted to standard settings?

Any info on the board and it's capabilities would be much appreciated.

That is a Std V3/4 (MY97/98) ECU.

The MCU is a Mitsubishi M37783 which is one time flash programmable, it is not possible to reprogram the MCU but it is possible to fit an external ROM board. Currently the only people doing this in the UK are Power Engineering.

Much has been written about the quality of the PE product but IMHO there is nothing fundamentally wrong with the hardware they use.

Cheers Andrew - that rules out the possibility of it loosing a remap flash.
