Guys,

(and Gals)these beasts sound a laugh with 370 odd bhp 2 turbos and rwd: they re rare but not too dear to buy.

I`d be interested in driving comments.

The image is a bit dodgy - sort of ultimate South london gangster car but nevrtheless the spec.......

Heads can crack if abused (ie too much boost) cost £9k from Lotus (not a misprint!), brakes are proper AP Grp C (Le Mans car) items. Diff can't take any more than the standard torque so beware of chipped ones. Harvey has had three and prefered the one he didn't "play" with.

If it goes wrong it's v.expensive - so beware....

my dad had a lotus carlton for 9 months and says it was the most awesome car he has ever owned (even more than a scooby and he has had a few). Its only downfall is wet weather driving but with that much power at the rear wheels you can expect that. In every other respect, torque, power, handling, brakes it was a super-car. He says its a collector's piece.
