The Mrs works from home as an actuary, and their systems have been upgraded to require XP or Win 2000.
Thus she needs to install XP to replace the current win98SE on a bog standard evesham home PC.

I'm hoping for a fairly smooth upgrade, but had a couple of noddy questions:
Is there anything I should watch out for (eg modem/other drivers that I may need to download prior to the upgrade)?
Will the upgrade install XP alongside W98 (eg separate partition), or will it over-write the existing W98 installation?
Will her previous Office 2000 installation work happily under XP, need minor tweaks, or need a full install of Office XP?

Any help much appreciated (if I bollocks it up, her income stops, and more worryingly my nadgers get fed to the dogs)

Cheers

SB

Basically I don't think you've got anything to worry about. XP will handle everything ;)

Not really XP has a huge amount of drivers with it, certainly enough to get u up and running - but generally worth backing up email, isp account settings, personal files...

Basically overwrite it

Maybe - u should check microsoft's website, it certainly should work.
