I have been quoted £200 by a local ice shop for installing the following into a my03 wrx Im supplying all the kit as they dont sell the stuff I want. just want to now if this is reasonable as it seems exspensive.

Blaupunkt MP3 & CD Head unit
Blaupunkt in dash changer (both units fill double din gap).
genesis component speakers in the front
alpine coaxes in the back.

thats it I was thinking more £80 - £100. Is it worth trying some of the mobile fitters in the yellow pages ??. Is there agood one who would do a install in Cambridge.

to gutless and hamfisted to try this myself.

Seems pretty standard really. My local shop charge an hourly rate so if they have a problem it could end up costing you a fortune. I am going to try a mobile fitter when the time comes.

That does seem a bit much i would charge approx 80 quid as it would take about 3 hours. :)

Doc Clifford......are you an authorised fitter for any of the major brands.....Im often in the Witon Rd area of aston adn Im soon gonna be needing some ICe ( just mids/tweeters, amp, sub/amp) installing.........is that something you would do?

Fit head unit, cd changer - 1 hour
Fit front speakers - 1 hour absolute max
Fit rears - half an hour.

2.5 hours at 40 quid an hour is 100 quid, which sounds right to me. Ask for a breakdown of charges... Or rip Dr Clifford's arm off? ;)

Are they planning on replacing cable or something?

No cable replacements, just straight swaps of components.

Window Film /Tint (what colors if any ??).
The ICE install.
