Hey guys

Anyone got a diagram or good instructions on getting power lead wired from battery to boot for an amp? somebody mentioned a difficulty with air con fitted, which i have!?

also, is it ok to run separate woofers & tweeters in the front from the same audio cable or do i need some sort of crossover!?

cheers

Assuming you've got a classic, air con isn't really a problem - if you look where the aircon pipes go through the bulkhead, they both both pass through one big grommet - you can (very!) carefully cut a slit with a sharp modelling knife midway between the two pipes and pass the power cable through this slit. If you remove the passenger side plastic sill trims (four clips on each) and the B pillar trim (just clips in place) then you will find a plastic guard over the brake pipes - unclip this guard and you'll find you can run the power cable alongside the brake cables - there's even a spare set of cable clips to keep it all tidy. Remove the rear seat base (two bolts at front of rear bench, with a metal clip at the rear) and you can route the cable under the rear seat through into the boot.

You need to have some sort of crossover otherwise you'll get a load of distortion as the speakers try to reproduce frequencies they weren't designed for.

From there, it's easy - just cable tie to appropriate things :)

Will try to find a pic...
