Slow day at work and we were just wondering whatever happened to various people - first one up for discussion was Morrisey (Miserable crooner from The Smiths last seen headed to America), followed by Zola Budd and the gayboys from Bros.

There MUST be a website along the lines of "after they were famous" - can anyone point me in the right direction?

One of the Dross boys played Danny in Grease the stage-show, and then went on to be the bad guy in the film Blade II.

Morrissey is still around, did some UK gigs recently although he is without a record deal, and has been for a year or two. He made it big on US college radio (and that's very big indeed, playing 15,000 seat arenas etc etc).

Also, Tatu have covered "How Soon is Now" on their 3.5-million selling album, and look likely to release it as their next single. Morrissey & Marr have conservatively earned about £150,000 in royalties from the album alone, and if it comes out as a single then they'll get ALL airplay royalties plus publishing too.

BBC radio 1 & 2 pay £33 to the publisher (and so a good chunk goes to the writer or writers) of EVERY song they play, EVERY single time they play it -- which is why Noel Gallagher is richer than the rest of Oasis, 'cos he has sole writing credit on most of the songs ...

So a shrewd career move would be to import daffodils ready for the next Tatu release?

I've been getting a hrad time from, my *ahem* younger staff, for banging on about Morriseys musical genius all day - glad the old boy's doing well! ;)
