Anybody got a knackered lambda sensor they don't want? Im after the connector so if you've got one that you've forgot to bin i'll have it off you.

Tony.

Speak to my mate Brian (RB5108) as he's changing the one on his MY95WRX for a new one before he get's it mapped in a months time. The engine is in bits at the moment so he may sell it now? Worth a shot. Bear in mind that this one isn't knackered. It actually works.

Mail him @ bryan.mobbs@virgin.net

Hopefully he shouldn't mind me giving out his mail address if it means he can make some cash :D

Hi Tony,

I'm at work at the moment I'll get the mail tonight from home, do you want the one in the DP or the one before the UP pipe?

I have been told by Bob (brd) to replace this before the link is fitted as it gives more accurate readings.

Bryan

Hi Bryan,

The one before the up pipe is the lambda, the one in the down pipe (undermeath the car not at the top) is an exhaust temp sensor for the cat (which isn't there on a decat so not needed). Unless you've moved your lambda to the downpipe (where they are on later cars) and left the one in the header/manifold unplugged where it is?????

So the upshot is it's probably the one in the manifold/headers.... let me know what you want fo it? Or if you want to keep it as a spare i'll get a universal and butcher the connections on my orginal.

Cheers,

Tony.

Me & Brian were just talking about this...and it all becomes clear now :D:D

You've put my mind at rest over this as well. Cheers fella

No worries,

It is a bit confusing when most people expect the lambda to be in the downpipe but the early cars have a temp sensor there and the lambda in the manifold. Im going to block the hole in the manifold and move my lambda to where the late cars have them at the top of the decat downpipe.... which has been blocked at the moment. Lower temps here so it should last longer :D .

Tony.
