What negative effect will I have after installing HKS SSQV on STI7?
Will AFR be affected and become leaner?

Thanks for help!

I have one on my99 and it runs fine. I have a full-decat which along with the SQV makes many pops and bangs.

The HKS SSQV is the best i've seen.

There are technical differences between the HKSSQV and 'other' dump vales and after doing the research it has to be a HKS!

If you decide to sell it, let me know.

Hi
If anything itll allow it to run richer hence the pops and bangs with the de-cat,got one on my99 and must say that idle probs of my other vta d/valve are not apparent, as the HkS advertise their d/valve not to cause.
Bob,what noise does yours give off after3.5k under boost, cos thats the only part im not to keen on compared to my other dump valve

when changing gears slowly it sounds like a bus, but when changing quickly you get a very loud sharp short whistle noise. It is rather loud. If you don't like the sound (or noise) you can get a filter for it which won't effect the performance of it but will more or less silence it.

Bob,
Thats ok then, thats the same noise as im getting two differnt sounds from dif boost stages, ran Blitz before wiht huge pissst, just couldnt figure if the sharp whistle at boost was correct.Getting used to it now though.
