They definitely make a difference. They just give the pedal a far firmer feel.
Admittedly I upgraded my fluid at the same time, so that would have helped too I guess.

Speaking with the guy at DRJ today and he didn't know if braided hoses are legal on a road car due to wording in MOT books. He said to check my local MOT place doesnt have a prob with them. Anyone else had any MOT probs with braided lines?

had them on my old rs turbo, never had any problems with MOT, getting them with my brake upgrade

Full S/S hose&fittings from Goodridge Silverstone were £76 inc'Vat & delivery.
Think Automotive was £62(+P&P)but no S/S fittings and no line locators (intermediate hose supports).
At present both hose kits are road legal although think auto's has no guarantee.
Goodridge hose fittings are normally swaged (cannot be unscrewed)and comply with German, Spanish (and probably soon to be british)laws on only swaged kits to be legal.
Any kit without line locators allowing hoses to foul any part of the car on full steering/suspension movement should fail an MOT, but I doubt it!

Scoobymania, they were £60 including vat and delivery

Getting mine from GGR seemed pretty cheap.

Scoobymania, GGR, Goodridge (Silverstone), Rally Design (Kent) & others sell Goodridge hose kits for a similar price, so I suppose its whoevers nearest to save delivery cost.
However, the above kits for £60 are s/s hoses with plated steel fittings that don't remain nice & shinny forever. I took a 6month old kit(GGR) off a hardly used P1(brake upgrade) & there wasn't any plating left on it, only corrosion.
Full stainless steel kit £76 Goodridge (Silverstone), not everyone sells it!
