In theory - as I've never got the time http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/rolleyes.gif but got the bits...

DV Camcorder - TV Capture Card - Video

TV Capture card is the thing. I've got 2 (one each PC) Win Hauppage & an ATI All In Wonder. Simple to "capture" video instead of TV signal. Need a large amount of space on HDD to do this tho' http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/eek.gif Done a bit, but nothing that I would consider of reasonable quality for bbs consumption http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif Trying to get a lap from BA down to a manageable size - shows a certain bbs P1 driver not quite in control http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif The reverse process is a matter of recording the input from the PC onto the vid.

ATi All In Wonder is v. good for the job. Good chunk RAM probably useful too, in addition to large HDD.

I will do it & post it up...

Jase,
If youve got a DV with the right connector (looks like a small USB port ) you can buy a kit from PC world that contains one of the new Fire wire i/f card's for direct DV to PC connection & all the editing sw its got £30 off at the moment so its down to £69.99
Paul.

If you have the connector mentioned above (DVi) you can buy a DVi-USB cable and software for 80 quid. You don't need a firewire card, but you need to record back to your camera unless you have some other T.V. output
