I have saved some .wav sound files from a website to my PC (GT40 and Ferrari flat 12 engines!) and then burned them onto a CD hoping I could blast them out of my hi-fi system. However, although they transferred successfully, the disc isn't recognized on the CD player (it plays on the PC).

Anyone know how to change the format so it will play on a normal CD player or if it can't be done?

Thanks.

Try a different player mate

Some CD Drives won't play CDR's.

make sure you close the cd. This helps with older cd players.

Have you burn't them as a data or music project?? Try it back on you PC and if it plays on the PC but not on your stereo you have burn’t it as a data project. Burn another one but make sure it’s a Music not a data project.

Tim.

Cheers guys, Scoobynet comes up trumps again! I think I burnt the first disc as data and not music.

We now have a very happy anorak and a very bemused wife - "it's the sound of a what?"

Got the clips off www.racecar.com. Only short but a 917, Koenig F50 Biturbo, Ferrari 12 cyl F1, GT3 Porsche, GT40 and a McClaren F1.
