When looking at this thread: "Glos./Worcs/Cotswold Meet - 16 Feb 03" I get small boxes with a red cross instead of pickies. Get the same on some other threads too, can see pickies quite well on other threads. Seen the same on some other websites too.

I'm on XP home connecting via broadband, logged off and restarted without making any difference, anything else I can tell you?

Is it a setting problem within internet set-up? Or what?

I would imagine it's your firewall.

I use Zone Alarm Pro and have to disable it if I want to view scoobynet pictures.

XP has a built in fire wall.

Spot on. I use Norton personal firewall, disabling it lets me see them. Thanks for the info.

Which version of Norton Firewall do you run?

The instructions on getting the pictures working are different depending on whether you have version 2002 or 2003.

It's 2003.

Thought there must be a cleverer way of doing it than just turning it off completely. But at half past midnight after 4 hours in the pub that was good enough.

Any suggestions for a more secure long term solution would be appreciated.

Chelspeed,

you need to allow the "Referrer ID" to be passed to the (most probably) Turbosport web-site. This tells the site holding the pictures (currently with red crosses) that you are coming from Scoobynet.

Dunno what the setting comes under in NPF2003, but try getting into Advanced Options" and see if there is a section to specify individual settings for web-sites (might be the "web" tab). Add a new entry for Turbosport (right-click the failed picture and check the properties for the full URL), and (possibly in the Browsing Privacy section) set the Referrer to "Permit".

That way only your chosen site knows "extra" information about you - much better than turning off the firewall!!

Hope that all makes sense under 2003 ;)

Done that. Works perfectly. Thanks for all your help.
