I'm assuming you have a relay? If not, you need a standard 4 terminal one, or a 5 terminal one if available. If you get the 5 terminal one, it should have 2 terminals together at terminal number 87.

You also need a "Scotchlok" type connector, some ring terminals(4), some female blade terminals(5, or 7 if you use the male terminals with the Morette kit), and covers for these, and either a fuse holder and fuse, or preferably, get a relay with a built in fuse.

Assuming you have the old lights out, (removal of connectors at rear of lights is done by squeezing the sides together, and pulling backwards), identify the wire supplying the main beam: it was yellow on mine, at the top, and "Scotchlok" a length of farly thin wire (14/010 will do) to it. the length to be able to reach the relay when it's mounted. Connect other end of this wire to terminal 85 on your relay.

Now connect another length of wire to a ring terminal, find a suitable earth, (battery neg will do) and connect from earth to terminal 86 on your relay. Operate main beam, and get someone to check that the relay clicks when you select main beam, and clicks again when you de-select main beam.

Now, using fairly thick cable (28/010), connect a ring terminal to one end, and cut to length to suit position of relay so that it will reach to relay, or fuse holder if you're using one(relay without fuse). Connect other end of this to relay terminal 30, or to fuseholder and then to terminal 30. DO NOT CONNECT TO BATTERY AT THIS POINT.

Take two wires fro terminal 87, (or one from each terminal 87 if your relay has two of them), one to each inner (main beam ) feed wire. Connect the inner(main beam) earth wires to suitable earth points: mine go to the headlight inner top fixing screws via a pair of ring terminals.

Refit connectors to rear of Morettes.Do NOT refit lights yet.

NOW connect the ring terminal on the end of the wire coming from relay terminal 30 (or your fuse holder) to battery positive.

Switch on ignition, and test to ensure:

dips work, main beams come on, and when they do, inners come on too.

Refit morettes, and have LOADS of fun setting them up. Suggest that you let a local MoT station do the dips, and do the inners yourself. I modified the bodywork with a hammer (!!!)below where the lower alignment screw fits on the inners to make sure I could get to it. then I touched the paintwork with plenty of touch up. It's under the bonnet, out of the way, so you'll not see it, but you WILL appreciate having done it, believe me!!!
