I'm going to the British GP this sunday for the first time ever. On a good day it normally takes me around 1 hour to get to junction 15a (the Silverstone exit) from my house and, depending on what race is on, another 15 mins - 1/2 hour to get into the car park.
I know this is going to be a hell of a lot worse on Sunday, I'm thinking of leaving at 3am and am anticipating arriving about 2 hours later. Is this too optimistic? Is this too early? (we have seats) http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/confused.gif Any advice will be greatly appreciated http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif Sal http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif |
Sal,
In all honesty, leave as early as possible........you can never judge traffic.... Have a an excellent time, I had to sell my tickets so as not to take away any money from Scooby repairs http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/frown.gif (Very jealous) GO COULTHARD http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif Michelle http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif |
Ten minutes before the race starts. Apparently it's the only time the roads are clear!

Was watching the bike GP @ Donington on Eurosport Sunday and just as the 250 race started they reported that it was currently a 1.5hour trip from the M1 to the carpark - holy cow! Never underestimate the traffic http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/eek.gif
