ran black diamond discs with pagid pads on my 205 gti - need replacing. anyone know of a better performance disc/pad setup around now, been a few years since i last did them?

i would like to know of any deals on such, or a performance specialist who deals with pugs that might be running an offer?

any help greatly appreciated

They seem a bit into the max power bodykit thing, but you never know - they seem to be talking about brake upgrades, but I've not found any prices...

HTH! :)

"EBC greenstuff pads and discs........ Haven't found better yet"

I have...

Ran EBC Greenstuff pads once and they were not great. :(

The only thing they were good for is minimal brake dust, but they would fade out if you got a bit "keen" with them.

Wheras, Mintex M1144's, Ferodo DS200's and Pagid pads were all superb and I can recommend all 3 of them from personal experience.

Used to run these on my old 106 GTi for both fast road AND track days, with no probs at all. Even used standard (vented) front discs with no problems.

I didn't have any fade with the greestuff pads... Even when braking from 100 > 20...

Red Dot pads are ****(have them atm - wish I had stayed with greestuff).

Mintex 1144's with black diamond discs or get the black diamond bigger disc conversion which stopped my pug very well :D

I need to change my brake pads on my 106 gti and was going to go for greenstuffs. Ive heard good things about them and thought they'd be ideal for my light car.

Rich did you run greenstuffs on the road or just on track?

Speak to LAD Motorsport, they provided drilled disks and pads for my 205 some years ago.

Just on the road with the Greenstuff ones...

Get Mintex M1144's or Pagid's as I ran these on my 106 GTi and they were superb. Another friend ran Ferrodo DS200's in his 106 and they worked well too. ;)

Used standard discs too, with those uprated pads and I also ran Mintex C-Tech racing fluid and braded hoses, which worked superbly. No problems with the standard discs and no warping either, even with track use.

Did about 25k miles in 2 years in that 106 GTi using the setup above and was very happy with it.

Tried and tested! :D
