250max real I reckon.
Unless you go to Well Lane. Then 290 ish ;) |
Could I have my current turbo re-built to Hybrid spec?
Or Just change it. |
I thought I was pushing out 270-80 bhp.

No and the stupid thing is that im doing the same with my P1 now.
Once you have the bug you cant stop :D |
Its the ECU thats holding you back.
Next step needs to either be a dawes device or a completely new ecu or remap. EcuTek etc Kos. |
I've got my00 with full scoobysport decat, panel filter, and dawes set to about 1bar, I got 170 on saturday, and 259 on the second run when I think it was getting a bit warmer!
|
Is the ECUtek, etc better than the Prodrive ECU?
|
I'm sure Mr. Banks would say 'sell your ppp ecu and put the standard one back in'!! :)
Do you suffer from overboost? |
Not really, it does hit 1.3 bar on a cold day.
|
That is overboost, the PPP target boost is under 1.1 bar.
|
What would I need to push put 300 bhp?
Without spending a huge pile of cash. [Edited by Vinesh - 2/10/2003 9:30:08 PM] |
As R.B. can confirm my Type RA ran 258.5bhp on Nobles rolling road and absolute nothing wrong with it accept a bit of over fuelling at high revs (but they all do that sir ;) ). Thats a 276bhp engine VF29 turbo running 1.2bar and optimax and octane booster and a fairly cold day, only mods were TSL centre decat and scoobysport backbox. Heading back with R.B. for another run in a few weeks with a secret new mod to get me to 200bhp PATW hopefully :D.
Also power at the wheels figures are more interesting as this is what you are putting down on the ground. My power at the wheels was 195bhp which looking at previous results on the dyno.scoobynet.co.uk seems quiet respectable. [Edited by chrisp - 2/10/2003 9:53:51 PM] |
