Why o why when excel tries to be clever does it *always* f**k things up!!!!
Im importing some CSV values which contain credit card numbers and it always brings them in as xxxxE+15, if I try to change them to numbers then they round up, text leaves them in the same format (E+15). I thought it maybe because they are no double quotes around each column in the CSV file so I changed that but it still does it!!! Been on this an hour and it should be a 1 minute job, aaaarrrgh, can anyone help me save my sanity???? cheers Gary |
ok, sorted it now, saved it as .txt then when opening it brings up the import wizard which lets you define the column types.

Gary, use the text import wizard instead and set the column data format to text. This should sort it.
