Was I.
Thats the second time I've been spotted on here. I'll have to start going out after dark.
I waved at another STi7 Prodrive on the Nonts Saras road on Sunday as well.
They must be as common as muck.:D

Cheers MTR

Aw cr@p. My parents live in Buckstone Road in Edinburgh and I got all excited thinking I'd been spotted :(

WRBlue-STi7-Prodrive 10 February 2003 01:20 PM

That the only one i have seen other than mine! It was a shock seein you in my rear view mirror!
What were all the stickers for in your windscreen?

Do you drive a lot in yours then?

Have you done any modifications to your scoob?

Nick

MTR 10 February 2003 08:09 PM

Saxo Boy,
We are about 200+ miles South of Edinburgh. But still classed as Northerners.

Cheers MTR

Harry_Boy 10 February 2003 10:07 PM

No doubt going for a pint to the Ram's Head at Denshaw.... :0)

MTR 10 February 2003 10:37 PM

Harry,
Not me, I am Tea Total, almost.

Don't touch the stuff, except on extremely rare occasions:)

Cheers MTR

WRBlue-STi7-Prodrive 11 February 2003 09:23 AM

What difference does the WR Sport backbox make over the STi one?

I am half interested!

Nick

MTR 11 February 2003 12:11 PM

WR Blue,
Nicer/louder noise and +10 BHP.
It stops it feeling so strangled at the upper rev range.
It reduces the flat spot at 4500/5000 you normally get.
I have advertised it in 'For Sale' section as well.
As I state, it is the only mod you can make without any risk of invalidating your warranty, with the exception of the PPP kit for £2000.

I have E-Mailed you.

Cheers MTR

I used to go to school in Shaw. Does that make me a Yonner-ry member??

Ken
:)

WRBlue-STi7-Prodrive 11 February 2003 01:05 PM

Either that or a Shaw gorby!!

Harry_Boy 11 February 2003 09:45 PM

Blimey - Memory Lane..... :)

I remember when they used to serve beer out of the jug at the Ram's Head (although that was before I could drive!).

Madman 11 February 2003 10:00 PM

Think I've seen both of you knocking about, definately two WR blues anyway.

Harry Boy, do you have a private plate that makes car look much older and play football once a week at a large school.

Look out for the Mica Red MY01 with the Scoobynet/SIDC stickers

Harry_Boy 12 February 2003 04:53 PM

Nope not me madman - usually to be seen cycling round Emley Moor TV mast.....

Mine's a WR blue MY02 WRX wagon with Morettes - safely under lock & key or popping over Holme Moss - depends which day it is :)

Madman 13 February 2003 08:12 PM

Ah well

Harry_Boy 13 February 2003 10:26 PM

Used to play football at a large school Mate, but that was when I was 12 :) :) :)

BarryK 06 March 2003 02:29 PM

Well, hello.

MTR I was toying with PPP for the "Sportwagon". Dunno if I can be arsed wasting 2 grand though.

Mad Man, Breeze Hill?

MTR 06 March 2003 08:06 PM

Barry K,
The PPP for your car is £1650 I think.
On the MY03 it gives you 265BHP and more torque than a STD STi7.

Matthew said they were having one fitted to their MY03 WRX demonstrator.

I am not sure what the claimed power/torque figures are for your MY02, or wether it is the same as the MY03, but it has transformed my car.
It is amazing.

Cheers MTR

Madman 17 March 2003 10:44 PM

BarryK

Breezehill, where's that?

kenb@manx 18 March 2003 09:48 AM

Breeze Hill is a district of Oldham, on the way out to Lees. There used to be a secondary school there, don't know if it is still?
For the wags that used to watch Oldham Athletic a popular ditty when they were playing well was "it's just like watching Breeze Hill (brasil)!!"

KEN

davegtt 18 March 2003 02:49 PM

well suprise suprise, Im a shaw gorby too :D although I live in Nottingham now :(

Used to go to St James on blackshaw lane. any1 go there in 1990, that was my last year there :)

WRBlue-STi7-Prodrive 19 March 2003 09:21 AM

I know of Breeze Hill school, but i dotn know of St. James on Blackshaw lane. Blackshaw lane is on Shaw Rd isnt it, i only thought Royton & Crompton school was there, but maybe mistaken.

I am also from the area but have not yet moved on to better places.

kenb@manx 19 March 2003 11:27 AM

AFAIK the only schools on Blackshaw Lane were Royton & Cromption and Blackshaw Lane Junior School.
BTW, my Dad was born at No 15 Water Street! (the one that runs onto Blackshaw Lane). I was born in Heyside, Springfield Street but it aint there anymore!

Ken

davegtt 19 March 2003 11:57 AM

ahh, sorry mistaken memories, yeah royton and crompton was my secondary school, correct it is shaw road that goes towards higher crompton area that st james is on :)

MTR 02 October 2003 07:53 PM

WR Blue,
The stickers are tax disk/day & night vehicle watch (Police sceme)/25 year old & above driver sticker & works parking permit.
Can hardly fit them all on in the unswept area of the screen.

Car has a Prodrive WR Sport back box currently, but is having PPP kit fitted next week, and I will be selling the WR Sport back box for £150 if your interested. And I will fit it for free.

Thats all it will be having, due to warranty issues and cost.

Yes drive it a lot at weekends, not much through the week.

Cheers MTR
