Hi there...

I got those things today and after some reading i know less than before :)...Problem is that according to installation instructions for FCD i have to install that at Air Flow Signal wire...same goes for AFR which goes between ECU and FCD according to instruction....so i'm confused now...if signal goes from MAF to FCD and i use FCD to alter that signal...which than goes to AFR which again alter allready altered signal...what ECU gets at the end ??...car in question is prefacelifted my96...can someone please help me on this...thanks upfront

For Scoobies you fit the FCD in the MAP not MAF signal line. MAF fuel cuts are present on other cars such as Mitsubishis.

AFR goes in the MAF line.

Always check for detonation etc etc.

thaks for fast response :)...
am i right that if i assume that AFR should go to *Mass Air Flow sensor* signal wire and FCD to *Pressure Sensor* signal wire ?

In my case (my96) that should be B43 pin 9 for AFR and B43 pin 4 for FCD ??

This is a pinout for my ecu ->

OK...i installed AFR and FCD yesterday...no problem there...no Check Engine lights or stuff like that...Now, all i need is info about where is fuel-cut on no7 vs no12 on FCD and how does no7->no12 transfer to lean/rich/mV meassurements...any1 please

Thanks upfront

The settings on the FCD progressively reduce the voltage passed from the MAP to the ECU. 1 is pass through voltage, 12 reduces voltage by about 2volts.

To run 1.5bar with a cut at 1.6bar use setting 9 (reduces by about 1volt), 7 should be good for about 1.4bar and so on.

So 6 on FCD should be good for 1,2 i guess...what about AFR...right now i'm on no.9 (full decat/air cone/dp/1,2b)...and i have that 4 lights setup AFR meter in my car (John Banks version)...what puzzles me is that whan i go for WOT in 5th i get blue light but after 15sec or so on WOT it changes slowly to green...than to yellow...than to red/yellow...it is connected to ecu readout from *normal* lambda...is it normal?...i know that O2 misread whan hot but how do i know whan it is hot?...

As the sensor heats up it will show lean values even though the mixture `may` not be....hence open loop fuelling on boost.............

Some lambda sensors fatigue quicker than others, but if they are cool you have time to do a run through third gear from 1000-7000 RPM say. Depending on the air cone, some will lean out the car, and the values will drop earlier because it was less rich to start with. Really to know what is going on you need a wideband O2.

2 john banks: So your advice should be to engage 3rd gear and floor it from 3k rpm up to 7k ?...if that is so than i'm ok couse i have blue light all the way...also in 4th...and than in 5th but whan i'm in 5th on WOT for 15secs my lights start to change from blue to red (rich to lean)...is that ok/normal?

Forgot to write...Air Cone i have is Blitz SUS..Downpipe is SuperSprint (decat)...custom made freeflow backbox and decat pipe..
Boost is up with Dawes Device (dont have any major peaks and it holds around 1b in 1/2/3 and 1,1b in 4/5...i think gauge underreads for 0,1)...
