Any body now about Kabaddi Sport?
|
Only that it's played on the Indian sub-continent. It's a bit like a game of tag in a small open area about the size of a squash court. Teams of 4-6(ish).
|
Channel 4 ran a series on it a while back when they were covering different sorts of sports. Looked quite interesting as I remember.

*lol* I don't remember it too sell but it looked like fun. As said, bit like tag but you have run round shouting kabaddi all the time until your 'safe', or something like that http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

I think that they have to hold their breath as well, or rather, not breathe in during a round. Saying Kabaddi continuously means that any cheats (sharp intake of breath) would be spotted (or heard) straight away.
Quite a tactical sport as well! mb |
From what I remember when it was on C4, you have 4,5 or 6 people who all from a link by holding hands. One person then has to try and get past without being tripped up and falling over??
The link is not allowed to be broken so they have to move as one from left to right, etc. If link broken I think guilty party leaves the court, making it easier for person?? I could have it completely wrong though http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif Cheers, Tom |
its british bull dogs but you er,hold hands!!
the skill is glancing a toe nail................ |
