I've been paranoid ever since i bought my sti v5 about these bloomin' MAF sensors, my idle has never been brilliant , so i bit the bullet and changed the MAF today , just in case.

I did an ecu reset as well, and it shows a code 32, i think this is the lambda sensor ?

Anyone know the best place to get one and how much ? ?

Cheers Iain :)

According to this http://www.ultimatesubaru.net/Manual.../ecucodes.html

Looks like you are right.

IPALMER 05 February 2003 05:21 PM

thanks for confirming that.

there was probably nothing wrong with my MAF in the first place . and the erratic idle was probably all due to the lambda playing up !

Oh well , can't have hurt to change it :) (apart from the cost!)

cheers :)

Stu

you are a mine of information :)

car is my00 and done 34,000 miles.

according to the above site, the sensor's last between 30 - 50,000 miles.

mine must have given up a bit on the early side of things :)

cheers again

It's at a time like this that all those 'Come in Handy' favourites well ermmm come in handy :D lol

Glad to help - Hope you get it sorted.

I notice you are in Hants, if your local to me (Fareham) when you come to do it I have a spanner that I moded when I did one before if you want to borrow it. It's not brilliant but it may help.
