I have a friend with a GT4 (ST205). It is completely standard apart from a Superchip:eek::eek:.

He was thinking along the lines of an induction kit as his next purchase. Would he be better off buying a new exhaust system first etc, etc?

Any advice I could pass on would be appreciated.

I have had the bumpsteer removed and the geometry sorted by Powerstation on my Scooby with excellent results - do Powerstation or anyone remove bs on the Celica or anyone recommended to sort the geometry?

As with any car, removing the breathing restrictions is a good place to start.
I'd say the exhaust would release more power if changed than a free-flow filter.

What year is it ?
Upgrading the IC will help as well.

I think Fensport deal with Toyota mods

Thanks DazW - just the sort of info he is after:).

Anybody have any info on bumpsteer, geometry or any other handling mods.?

Anyone got any other ideas? Don't have to be handling related.

Get over the the GT4 Owners site first.

Also have a word with Adrian at Fensport.

Cheers

Ian

Ian - thanks mate. The owner does go on that site from time to time. I just offered to ask on Scoobynet as it is (I would have thought) a lot more active, if not quite so specialised.

Call Fensport about any GT4 issues 01354 696973. I had a GT4 ST205 and had the following mods :-

1. Hybrid turbo
2. Blitz induction kit
3. Blitz boost controller
4. Mongoose system
5. WI
6. Unichip
7. Aussie DP

With the above I was pushing out 350 bhp. Give the guys a call they can help you.

Regards

Kev..

My best mate has the ST185 GT4, and we found www.fensport.com, a very good site for all types of Toyotas. You can find anything in there. Go and check it out.

Hi 7 Foot,

He'll be better off just changing the panel filter to a TRD one, us 205'ers have a pretty hot engine bay and cone/mushroom filters seem to suffer :( ...although I think a few guys have fabricated airflow boxes, which helps :)

He'd probably get more benefit from changing the downpipe/exhaust, the downpipe seems to be pretty restrictive & is pretty cheap to replace (abou £250 from Aus IIRC) exhaust wise you have the usual suspects Blitz/HKS etc and also Hayward & Scott, but flavour of the month seems to be Tube Torque (http://www.tubetorque.co.uk/) who have done stuff for TTE (Team Toyota Europe) and are proving to be pretty popular :)

Hope this helps, but if not- get him over here- :)
