best place to get these ? what tyres ? price ?

IMO you should forget them and plump for 215/40/17.
The availability of tyres in 205/45/17 is very limited as well as being quite expensive. I was quoted £20 more per corner for 205's over 215's for exactly the same tyre.
I have Toyo TS-1 proxies, fitted for £305 all in. Very good tyre all round IMO. Goodyear F1's recieve much praise around these parts too. :)

I agree with Brun...

My RB5 had 205's too, but when the booty change came around the 215/45/17 toyo's make better sense both on the road and in your pocket. The fact that they look pretty mean too is just another bonus! Wonder if Subaru have ever thought about fitting these as standard???

Mytyres.net or Scoobyworld will be the best price - although my local Toyo dealer has just quoted me £88 inc. VAT + fitting, so might go there next time to save on the hassle of delivery etc.

Just my thoughts on the great tyre debate...

Shan, you mean 215/40x17 don't you? This is the replacement size everybody uses. The 205/45x17 tyre fitted by Prodrive is, I think, because of their Pirelli WRC sponsorship, but P-Zeros are hopeless in the wet and Toyos or Goodyear F1s are much better and cheaper.

Richard.
