I have been finding out info for the trip home when I pick up my pride and joy from Holland. There have been some threads about the best way to get it back across the pond and how you don't want it packed in a ferry like sardines.
Well, I thought I'd take the Eurotunnel route to prevent this, but they wanted £145 one way! No thanks.
Lo and behold, enter Hoverspeed. They do a special service for people importing their cars. It is actually cheaper than the normal fare for passengers, and if you wish, for a supplement of £9.50 per person, will upgrade you to first class. This means that your car gets loaded first, and specially loaded with loads of extra room around to prevent damage. http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif
So, if anyone is bringing a car home soon, give Hoverspeed a ring, but you must tell them it is an import, not a normal fare to qualify for this.
