For ages my laptop with Win ME has dealt the cards really slowly when playing the spider patience game. Having re-installed my desktop it is now suffering from the same annoying problem yet I was fairly sure I had used drivers which have worked perfectly in the past.

Anyone else seen this and know how I can sort it out?

yes you need to install

FastDeal.DLL into the \cards\spider\patience directory!

Thanks for the muppet posting - I really would like to know what causes this problem and if I can fix it.

Sad thing is gary was in stitches about it lol

After reading a couple of MS newsgroups I now realise this is a common problem with know known cure.

MS suggest turning off animation.

Another person suggests running windows help at the same time.

This I have tried and hey presto so long as help is running the cars deal perfectly. Wierd, anyone else seen this?
