Acid 3.0 Pro and Fruity Loops are both excellent, just do a search, eval copies of both available.

What you want is some good Tracking software :)
I used to use Fasttracker on the Amiga and there are plenty about for the PC that you can make superb quality tunes from. Have a look here at the trackers. Personally, I use Fastf*ck3r :) But haven't look at the more up to date versions. |
Cheers guys, i'll take a look tonight... Any others ?

Depends if you want professional tools or toys like E-Jay ?
The trackers are a good place to start then build up to the industry standard, Cubase, if you want real quality & flexibility :) |

If you want to have a go at creating your own music rather than constructing songs from sample loops, I can really recommend Buzz. You can download it for nowt (it's freeware) from Buzzmachines. It's basically a complete virtual studio with hundreds of free synths, effects, etc. New plugins are coming out every week.
If you are interested in mixing together other songs (MP3s and WAVs) then I'd recommend Mixmeister which is pretty groovy and can produce totally professional sounding mixes. Hope that helps! |
Andrew,
Wow that buzz is pretty impressive, not all that user friendly but very powerful, bit like native instruments reaktor I think. Gary |
FRUITYLOOPS
it's the dogz, free demo as well |
