as the track has taken its toll!

So - do I have to get the AP discs or are there other alternatives...

...not a problem with the APs, just like to explore possibilities.

I need grooved not drilled discs (thinks drilling is a ridiculous concept for boy racers ;))

Any thoughts welcome - also indicative prices too! And if anyone knows the price I would expect to pay for AP discs, advice would be welcome.

I reckon 500-600squid for a set of AP 330........!!!!!! 304 are 450-500!!!

Trout, give Fiona a call at Hi-Spec (01322 286850)

They will be able to help. No idea on price, but I am in the same boat, but will wait until the 6 pots are moved over to the RX-7. :)

Bremsport do compatible discs, available through TAS in the UK.

I beleive also the Performance Friction discs are compaitble too.

Speak to John Banks, he replaced a set of APs not so long ago, so knows where to get AP stuff at a good price.

I thought the discs were one (if not THE) important part of the braking system. So how come you guys spends megabucks on a set of AP's (and rave about how wonderful they are) then use someone elses discs  or can Hi-Spec supply original AP kit?

Ozzy, Hi-Spec can supply AP discs, if that is what you want. But the discs that they supply are just as good as the AP units. I have used them, along with a few others here on track without problems.

Are you getting floating type discs? ;)

Trout... 31 January 2003 12:59 AM

Ozzy,

errrr - who said I wanted cheaper disks - I said I was exploring possibilities and if there was something better then I would like to consider it.

Cheaper and the same is good too.

The AP disks on mine have crazed - not badly - but they need replacing - so they aren't perfect...

...although I am sure someone will point out that I need to warm them up more before hammering them to red-hot (literally) on track!
