How do I connect my laptop to my tv? I think I have the right connectors. Heres what i bought:

I can hear sounds from my pc (ie when i play a dvd on my laptop the sound comes out through the tv) but theres no picture. Do I have to set my laptop to anything? ie a setting or should it just automatically work.

if the link is showing what you bought you only bought a lead which does audio, to get sound and audio you need three composite connectors white and red are sound and yellow for the video source, without the yellow you will never get a picture ;)

if you look again at the link you'll see it has S-VHS connector which i thought was the tv-out on the back of my laptop. especially as it fits.

when connecting my laptop my TV i just used my S-Video to scart Cable (i use a cable from my head phone socket on my laptop then connect that to my yellow and red socket on the front of my TV for sound)

When i first started it up the quality on my TV was crap, I`d forgotten to change my TV scart socket setting to S-Video and it works a treat. I also had to change my laptop resolution down to 800-600 to see the DVD playing
