A while ago I saw a list of books that were recommended reading to get a better understanding of turbo's, ecu's, tuning, etc. Anyone got this or another list? TIA

I good book is Julian Edgars 21st Century Performance. Cant think of too many other books to start off with, but im sure others will add to the list.
Amazon 21st Centruy Performance You could also do a search there for Turbo etc, and see what it shows up. turbocharging search on amazon |
Corky Bell, Maximum Boost.
Dave Walker, Engine Management. Bosch Automotive Handbook. (Dry but packed with info). www.google.com gives some incredible info on anything you care to mention I find ;) |
Swan, this link might be useful. Unfortunately I have not yet learned to make it clickable.

Corky Bells is OK, but a lot of the Bosch stuff goes way over my head :D
As for Dave Walker...I cant understand why when he writes a good section in CCC, that he produces a book like that. Perhaps its because Haynes publish it, and their modern manuals leave a lot to be desired, with too many pages saying "refer to dealer". Suppose it is still worth a look |
Trouble is there is precious little on engine management to read, but the Dave Walker book does leave a LOT to be desired. So much more could have been written about the topic.

Thanks all, should keep me going for a while... :)
