Decided to take the plunge and went for UK300 lights. Tha dealer said there is a bit of wiring to be done but wasn't too sure. Has anyone fitted these ?, are they easy to fit?, any tips?
Thanks

I have about six times, very simple, though get your lights aligned afterwards!

And I used bullet connectors.....

Six times? Just the once hopefully for me. Are the instructions clear? Also the dealer said they came with gas discharge bulbs,do you know if these are brighter than Phillips Powerplus bulbs.
Cheers

I second what Ferrarinutter says - make sure you get them aligned properly once fitted - don't believe what it says in the instructions that they come pre-set ;)... I've had mine aligned twice now and still feel they could be improved upon :(

How good is your patience? the bit in the instructions where you have to swap connectors is good if it works OK as it did for one of mine :) the other was trashed in a rage with the air blue around me  - might be a good idea using bullet connectors for some of them...

The gas discharge lights will take a bit of getting used to due to the different colour temperature - probably more blue so things will look colder if you're used to std halogens - not as easy to see things in fog / rain etc

let us know what you think of the dipped / beams when you've got them set up

HID's are typically 300% brighter than standard lights...........

6 times, once was due to the adjuster not being located into the platic housing, a quick few hits with a copper hammer soon sorted that out.

Then it took me 2 hours to align , though my mate an MOT tester did it in less than 5 minutes - oh for the right tools, ie screwdriver type instrument with flex spring where sockets could be fitted!!!!!!!!!

Picked up lights yesterday, instructions seem okay, but the connector swap seems a bit botched for £540. Will probably try and fit them over the weekend.

Finally put lights on, took about 2 hours. Still not too sure about the connectors but all is working well, so far. I'm not too impressed with the rubber seals at the top and fitting gaps maybe a bit of adjusting later on in the week.https://www.gamers-forums.com/smilie...y/biglaugh.gif
