I have tried the Denso Iridium Plugs and have had good results.
What do you guys use ? |
NGK PFR6B for standard style lumps or PFR7B for the higher tuned beasts.
Would anyone agree? P.S. Just got me 4 x PFR7B for under £40!! :D |
I have heard a few good things about them.
Would you suggest PFR7B for a MY98 WRX STi (JAP) ? Good price too, where did ya get them ? What gap would you suggest to use.... [Edited by waddy - 1/23/2003 6:06:17 PM] |

I use HKS plugs.
I have read that if you have an import (i have) you should use these (might be sales talk?!). |
The HKS plugs are Desno's rebadged.

I have seen it posted elsewhere that the HKS version of the iridium is a better spec than the Denso version - but this could be sales talk as the HKS is more expensive.
I have used both the HKS Iridium, which I used to get very cheap - under £50 for the set - but when that supply ran out I moved to PFR7Bs. These are gapped at 0.6mm - which is a bit tight - but running boost up to 1.7bar. The Iridiums could be run with a much wider gap - 0.8mm at least and were very good. Subjectively I preferred the Iridiums - but I have no objective data to back it up - they are both good plugs. For the really wild cars there is the extremely expensive PFR8bs! Not for everyday use methinks ;) Trout :D PS Car is an Sti V - and I have used the Iridiums on the car in both standard and modified form. The NGK only when it was modified. My car came with HKS plugs, once they were out and inspected I noticed Denso etched into the chrome Nut part of the plug. I bought NGK irridiums see below:

Does anybody know where i could get a set of the NGK 7s cheap as i've got my service coming up and would like them changed.
