just got me a 93 WRX import. im after any little triks that can be done.

I know about turbo tuning and understand it fully (built performance engines for a while but mainly N/A). I have heard rumours about the antilag chip allready being fitted but need activating, is this true??

and any other tricks (other than a bleed valve, and how reliable are these?)

yep . Change the intercooler to an AVO One... the pipe from the turbo to the intercooler is extremly restictive... Chane filter to a POD... free exhaust as much as possible.. fit an ecu I use a link... get a very good tuner

with these mods and 16psi max (as the internals are stock and i dont want to blow it to bits) I got a lift from (stock) 95KW ATW to 155KW ATW and run an easy 13 second pass... BTW i had to change to a heavy duty pressure plate... this car is street driven every day and I can drive at 45KPH in 5th no problems (and no it is not an RA so the gears are standard ratio)

All, ive done with mine, is put an Sti backbox on and replaced the centre pipe with a straight through ..(no silencer's) - made at work job ...dont know if its psychlogical but seems to be a bit smoother on pick-up...and a 'bailey' dump valve.

After that its standard.

And i always run on Optimax.

Ask Jonny Gav or Rich for the info. They had good results from doing this swap. I would do it but can't commit the time or cash for it for now..

Antilag is in the ecu, but if you know what the offset is and where the maps are and could let me know it would be appreciated :D

Has anyone got any info on this AVO intercooler??

I too have an early WRX and would really like a better intercooler without going front mount

have done the conversion to later spec V4 twin core subaru intercooler, as has Jonny, well worth doing and relatively cheap, you can pick one up for £150 ish, will post some pics tomorrow, if anyone want to know how to do it then mail me,

btw decat downpipe is a definate !!!
