OK. I'm thinking of a new set of wheels and possibly going for 18's:D:D

i have a UK car on standard suspension so will rubbing be a problem:confused: and what is the best tyre size to go for:confused: I've read a few peeps seem to have gone for 215/35/18??

Finally, i might want to upgrade to four pots in the future so they would need to fit over them.

I am qute keen on technomagnesia detriot jobbies in gold, how do you think they'd look on my car?

Oh, forgot to ask, what will the ride be like going from 17's to 18's??? Will it be much harsher or not much in it?

Any experience appreciated;)

went from 16's to 18's and the ride was only slightly harsher, felt a more responsive set up as well

Ricco, speak to Infinity (Martin) as he had 18" Diablos on his MY00. Ride seems OK and handling wise only a little more tramlining than on your 17's so ask him to take you for a run (in his SLOW CAR:D:D:D)

Mail me if you need his mobile number or phone me if you still have my home number:)

Ricco

I was going to get the detroits but they are no longer imported into this country. In the end I went for OZ Superleggara 18"s running 215/35/18 which dont rub on my car which has Eibach springs on it. Went from the standard 16"s to the 18"s and the ride has not got any worse. Have a look here for some pics.

ive got wheelmania vortex in 18" i dont find it rubs with the standard set up however the wheels et is 48 which will definatly rub if u lower the car.....apart from that it looks sweet as can be;)

hope that was useful best bet is to go for et50 to et55 no rubbing no problems:)

IIRC a number of people run Toyos, P-Zeros etc with no rubbing of the arches but problems start if they change to Eagle F-1's in the same size. This tyre seems to have a different shoulder profile which causes rubbing in 18" therefore these might best be avoided despite being a good tyre.
